Join the LAVA Dance Collective for an evening of improvisational dance!
**NEW! Saturday evening show to be followed by dance party with music by DJ Shakti!**

Founded in Chicago in 2001, LAVA – a Contact Improvisation-based dance performance collective – includes Charles Campbell, Stefanie Cohen, Carl Grimm, Erica Hagen, Mark Koenig, and Luv Seamon.

LAVA has performed all over the country, including shows in Indiana, Wisconsin, Oregon and New Mexico. Their repertoire includes works of highly structured improvisation based on dynamic, edgy scores developed collaboratively. LAVA has produced two works of dance on video, including 2006’s Hallway, and 2007’s Groundwater, filmed in Portland, Oregon.

"Everything occurred as unpredictable, but seemed to fit perfectly, and with sincerity so profound and unaware of itself that it was always taken for granted. I have a temptation to use the phrase 'childlike,' but the conversation created by the performances was really thoroughly adult in its intention, accomplishment and stature...[with] unabashed intimacy and joy of play."- Frank Martin, Review from Railyard Theater, Santa Fe, NM, June, 2007
